The Zebbie's Big Adventure

 Next stop for us is the Peedamulla Campground. We had originally booked 4 nights during our rush to plan this busy area, but soon realized that there is not much to do in this spot. We would have liked to go to Onslow for a day or 2 but we were restricted by our over-due car service. So we reduced our booking to 2 nights, but ended up staying just the one night.  The campground itself was very nice. Nice and spacious sites, beautiful rocky views of the plains, and modern clean facilities with pretty native landscaping. The push button showers were a great idea to help save water. We ran into Harriet and her family who we met at the Fingers Fingers Beach. They were staying at Peedamulla as well. The girls had a great time playing together again.  We went in with high expectations for this one, and it did not disappoint. Just inland from the Ningaloo Reef on a cattle station and they run a very fun station stay with lots of little activities and creative decorations. On arrival, our camp host lady Gilly was not happy with our allocated site so worked her magic on the walkie talkie back to the office and got us shuffled to a nicer spot, closer to the animals and the playground. She also gave us the last fire pit and told us we could collect firewood just outside the gate. Our neighbours in the animal pen were very friendly - Emmit the emu, and Buckley and Gypsy the goats. Apparently they used to roam the camp but have been put in the pen because Emmit would steal people's food and Buckley loved to sit on top of people's cars (and accidently scratch them!!) So now he has his own antique Troopy to nap on. ...
