MONA, TAS.

On our way to Fortescue Bay we drove through Hobart again and stopped in at the much recommended MONA museum. Definitely a great location and a great view. Lots of interesting art installations, but we didn't like the app very much - give us a little plaque to read and we are happy. Don't take us away from the experience and send us back to our phones. The lace truck outside was an amazing place to start and set the scene. The skull made of beetles eating a bird was very cool - switching around the fact its usually the bird that eats the beetles. The Zara and Elsie and Bridie loved the Ladies Room, which was a curtained off experience with a Lady controlling the curtain to let people in or out, and she told the kids they were all ladies and were allowed in but Dad wasn't - must be something very special in there. It was a very fancy space with a snake lounge and stunning jewellery on display and even a crown. This...

Franklin, TAS.

We were excited to get a glimpse of Hobart - this time we drove straight through but we still admired it's beauty with all the hills and rivers. We had a duck family with newly hatched ducklings living in a tree near our camp. One night we saw a Eastern Barred Bandicoot jumping just beside out caravan - these are threatened species on the main land due to foxes but there are obviously some living in this little corner of Tassie. The campground was just behind the main street of town as well at the playground. We enjoyed a nice walk through town, learning about the history, a...

1/11/21 We are in Tasmania. We went on a boat in Strahan. We saw snow on the side of the road. We are camping at Mount Field National Park at the moment, right near a waterfall. Last night when we were eating dinner, a little wallaby came into our camp and did a poop right next to our caravan. After dinner before we could pack away the scraps a possum with a big bushy tail jumped up on the table to try and steal our scraps. He knocked everything off the table including the stove. We saw some very big trees in the National Park. They are very old. By Elsie Wickham. 30/10/2021 I’m traveling in a small caravan with my family. These are the places we have been Tasmania. We had to go on the boat to get here. Me and Elsie slept on a bunk. It was fun. We got there and it was amazing but when we got there and it was.        Our first camp was Beauty Point, then we went to Penguin, then we went to Murrawah,...
